The Middle Spunk Creek Boys

May 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Middle Spunk Creek Boys are a fun-loving (yet serious) Bluegrass band that was formed in
1968. In their long history they have performed in an impressive variety of venues, from their
first performance at the famous Scholar Coffee House (also home of some of Bob Dylan’s first
gigs), to the Prairie Home Companion, the Denver Folklore Center, and innumerable bluegrass
festivals and shows all over the area. They have five Albums/CDs and two first-place Minnesota
Music Awards “Best Bluegrass Band” wins to their credit, and were inducted into the Minnesota
Rock/Country Hall of Fame in 2007.

The Middle Spunk Creek Boys have always played traditional and modern Bluegrass with great
picking and vocals, and entertain audiences with both humor their and their enthusiasm. They
also sometimes “jump the fence” to play original music, as well as music from other genres—all
in their own style, of course!

Current members of the Middle Spunk Creek Boys are Joel Olson (banjo), Bruce Jaeger (fiddle
and mandolin), Janine Kemmer (string bass) and Original Member Alan Jesperson (guitar).
